Mini Squads/ Coaching level ONE Adult Swimming Read More Baby Swimming Classes Infants from 3 months to 2,5 years old These classes consist of small groups of no more than 6 babies per class assisted by a parent or care-giver in the water as well as the teacher. Water safety and preparatory swimming skills are taught emphasizing fun through the use of songs. Toddlers from 2 years onwards are gradually weaned from the parent to swim with the teacher. Learn to swim From 3 years onwards All the baby swimming stages are now incorporated and gradually skills are developed to encourage independent swimming. All four strokes are introduced using the correct terminology. Water safety is constantly reinforced. It is important to note that each child will progress at his or her own pace. The school has been operating since 2005 and Ingrid van Eyk, the owner of the swim school, is a foundation phase school teacher with 16 years experience managing school swimming.
